“Call of Duty” review

“Call of Duty”, a title I think we have all heard. If there is one word to describe this series, it would definitely be overrated. It is probably the current best selling game. Does this series rise to the expectations, considering how much hype there is around each new title, every year? My answer is simply no. While it is still a decent series to buy, it offers very few new aspects to each years release. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare raised the bar in the FPS games, and ever since then I can’t help but feel disappointed in the direction the series has taken. At the time of writing this MW3 has just been released, and if there is a simple way to describe my thoughts on it, it would simply be Modern Warfare 2 all over again. While the campaign is entertaining, it is very short, the A.I system is terrible, and all you seem to do is aim and shoot while random things explode all around you. This game takes no skill, so it is overrun with little kids, and other annoying people who I can’t stand to play with. Would I recommend this series? Unless this series takes a change for the better in the future, I would strongly recommend not wasting your money on it. Old Call of Duty fans can only hope that this series will show another dynamic change, like what happened with Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. This has been my review for Call of Duty. Hope you enjoyed.
